The Online Geography (onGEO) group at Michigan State University offers professional-development short courses: OnDemand.
The Online Geography (onGEO) group at Michigan State University offers professional-development short courses, which we refer to as our OnDemand courses.
OnDemand courses are created for a wide audience, from professionals to neogeographers and those who are just plain curious. OnDemand courses range from 1 to 7+ weeks in length, are self-paced, and can be signed up for at any time. Each class created will cover a single topic, such as Interpreting Wetlands, Maps & Apps, StoryMaps, Using LiDAR Imagery, Google Earth Engine, GIS Field Data Collection, and more.
Check our OnDemand course listings periodically, as new courses will be added frequently.
Getting registered for professional-certificate courses is as easy as 1-2-3. Classes begin every seven weeks throughout the year, so:
* You do not need to be associated with MSU or have an MSU Net ID to register. We provide instructions on how to create an MSU Community ID that will be used for the registration process and gaining access to the courses.
Courses start at $200 and increase in price based on the length of the course.
To take any of our courses successfully, you will need a computer with internet (high speed) access. Labs either use web-based applications or applications provided for you via our remote server.
